Meet the CEO

Joseph Destafino is a leader in today’s world of technology. Joseph Destafino is known for seeing gaps in communication or logistical processes that need to be met. He believes that an invention has to make sense in the world it finishes in, not in the world it started in. Today’s software quickly evolves with concepts we didn’t understand or desired until they were presented to us. This methodical way of thinking affords us the opportunity to get from point A to Z much faster.

Joseph Destafino and his team has continued to use their professional knowledge and skills to modify, write, and debug software for end-customer use. There is a constant regiment practiced to document software and test applications for clients. Using his knowledge of ASP.net, Java, C#, and HTML, CSS, JavaScript and other languages to handle all aspects of designing. His wealth of knowledge from being a software engineer and designer, allows him to focus on a more holistic view of software than a coder or programmer normally would hold. Joseph is fully involved in the full cycle of product research, development, testing, and launch. From this point maintenance, along with the evolution of the design will take place and carried out to be executed in a magnificent way.

Joseph Destafino has continued to engineer principles to the creation of computer programs and data management. His job requirements extend beyond technical know-how since he communicates with a variety of stakeholders, from coders to users. To this end, he possesses a solid knowledge of algorithms, languages, data structures, scalability, and best practices in systems engineering and web development.

Joseph Destafino has developed many automated analysis systems from scratch that are capable of processing 15 million statistical operations per day. He has designed and implemented a modular, extendable, and easily maintainable architecture for the overall system pertaining to BOSS Cybernetics, I Do Swipe, Sesame and Recruiting Ghosts along with a few other smaller platforms.

Joseph Destafino leads two teams of seven software engineers and is a self-taught software engineer with years of experience developing robust Spring-based Java back-end applications for high-volume businesses. His love for developing software started at the age of 14 when he started a four-year computer science class in a vocational school in Rhode Island. He has led the development of ABCXYZ’s scalable team messaging/collaboration platform for asynchronous communications. Along with refactored large legacy application into reusable architecture. He has designed a distributed system for interactive analysis of large-scale datasets and developed a 100% automated scoring system for evaluating incoming resumes. He has also set up highly available, fault-tolerant infrastructure using AWS on multiple platforms while developing the software listed above.

Joseph Destafino has a team of engineers and designers that continue to follow his lead. We never know what code will be executed next, but we can assure the code will be written well and used throughout the industry it was written for.

Joseph Destafino owns the Bella Collina Mansion and the Belmont Mansion. Both are wedding venues in the Triad of North Carolina and both venues operate the BOSS Cybernetics platform flawlessly. There are numerous other venues that also operate the BOSS Cybernetics platform built to manage all venue operations from automation, email, invoicing, record keeping, and other data. This platform is used by thousands of customers, over 400 vendors, and numerous employees annually.

Joseph Destafino invented the all-inclusive concept in wedding packages throughout the wedding industry in 2012. He was a pioneer that created a new service to the wedding industry. In 2012 there were a few venues that offered photography or catering, but not a single venue offered what is todays all-inclusive packaging for couples. Now couples experience packages that offer catering, photography, rentals, flowers, DJ services and bakers all included in one price. This philosophy led the industry to all-inclusive packaging that many venues now offer. In 2012, Joseph Destafino recognized a trend, that trend was instant gratification. Instant gratification is fueled by modern devices and information exchange. Not all instant gratification is bad. There's nothing wrong with wanting or needing things, experiences, or products in a timely manner. It's important to balance our desires with a realistic sense of timing and patience. Having his first venue offer all-inclusive packages was a main priority before opening it to the public. He had to have a way to separate his venue from the rest and offer a level of service that the industry had never seen before. To this day he talks about how he met with vendor after vendor trying to convince them to join his venture. Most of the vendors thought he was a tad bit crazy, some walked away and some were intrigued. This had never been done before, it wasn't the norm. Most people get into their habitual tendencies and have a hard time accepting something new, especially when it revolves around their business model. Joe explained that he would handle the aspects of business that most business owners didn't enjoy handling. Those aspects of course are billing, collections, marketing and sales. The vendor would now be afforded the time to enjoy the one thing they loved, their service. The pesky tasks of managing the business would be somewhat alleviated. The hardest part of Joe's pitch was that the venue would receive the services of the vendor for a discounted rate. We would pass on this discounted rate to the customer, which in turn allowed our packages to be more attractive. After months of negotiation and meetings, Joe had his dream team and was ready to introduce this concept to the Triad of North Carolina and soon all of the United States. As soon as the larger platforms caught wind of this philosophy, other venues inherited the concept quickly. Joe's first venue completed 18 successful weddings in its first year and 88 weddings the second year. Every year after that, Joe has successfully seen a proven technique that started with a simple concept, cater to your customer.
